The EasyMount Ussing Chamber System is used for studying ion transport across epithelial barriers.  The EasyMount Ussing Chamber System may be paired with single or multi-channel voltage clamps (Voltage Clamps) to measure the transepithelial voltage, short circuit current and resistance.  

The EasyMount Ussing Chamber System design allows for ease of use and easy cleanup while working with up to 2, 4, 6 or 8 tissue or cell culture samples simultaneously.  Tissues and/or cell cultures are placed in an EasyMount Ussing Chamber Slider and inserted into the chamber.  Unlike other systems, the chambers do not have to be removed from the heat block nor do the electrodes have to be disturbed during this process.  

EasyMount Ussing Chamber Systems accommodate three types of EasyMount Ussing Chambers:

Standard P2300 Chambers (EM-CSYS Series) Accommodates the largest variety of tissues and cell cultures and has a usable half chamber volume of 2.0 – 8.0 ml

Low-Volume P2400 Chambers (EM-LVSYS Series) Accommodates a large variety of tissues and has a usable half chamber volume of 1.0 – 5.0 ml

Intestinal Specific P2250 Chambers (EM-RSYS Series) Accommodates intestinal tissues and has a usable half chamber volume of 2.0 – 8.0 ml

The EasyMount Ussing Chamber System includes individual chambers, a heating block for temperature control, needle valves for adjustment of gas flow used for oxygenation and gas lift stirring, Ag/AgCL reference electrodes for measuring transepithelial voltage & passing current and leads for connecting the electrodes to the voltage/current clamp.
